Climate-Friendly New-Build Apartments
In the new FRANKLIN district in the north-east of Mannheim, NOKERA has developed another residential quarter comprising a total of 194 housing units. It consists of a complex of nine buildings as well as six point blocks.
The buildings are climate-friendly new builds constructed to the KfW 40 efficiency standard and meet the requirements of the Quality Seal for Sustainable Buildings (QNG Plus). All buildings have received DGNB Gold pre-certification.
Fast construction of affordable housing
The 15 apartment buildings, arranged across seven building structures, were constructed using serial timber construction. They include a range of layouts from one- to five-room apartments designed for tenants across different income levels.
Construction from the ground slab began in July 2024, and the quarter was completed in February 2026.
High-Quality Living Environment
Several communal areas with playgrounds and seating are located in the inner courtyard of the building complex as well as around the point blocks, creating attractive spaces for residents to meet and spend time.
Affordable Rents
The NOKERA building system is aligned with the funding requirements of social housing programmes in the various German federal states. This makes it possible to rent these high-quality new-build apartments in a prime location at €9.30 per square metre.
