The construction industry faces the challenge of delivering housing cost-effectively while giving greater consideration to resources and emissions throughout the lifecycle of buildings.
We use timber as a renewable raw material and combine it with digital planning, industrial prefabrication and efficient construction processes. Through standardisation and industrial prefabrication under controlled production conditions, material use, waste and logistics can be considered and optimised from the planning stage onwards.
Our approach: not simply to define sustainability as a goal, but to make it tangible and transparent through materials, processes and standards.
We build with timber from sustainably managed forests
The climate benefits of timber
For our production, we use PEFC-certified timber from sustainably managed forests. As trees grow, they absorb CO₂ from the atmosphere and store the carbon it contains. When timber is used in buildings over the long term, this biogenic carbon remains stored in the timber throughout its service life.
Resource efficiency through industrial production
Timber’s low weight and ease of processing enable a high degree of prefabrication, making it particularly suitable for industrial construction processes. Standardisation, industrial production and precise material ordering enable efficient use of resources.

In 2025, NOKERA received the German Sustainability Award in the Construction Industry category, as well as the special award in the Climate transformation field. The jury recognised NOKERA for its exemplary contribution to transformation and its role as a pioneer in driving change in the construction industry.
